Hard skin on the feet
Hard skin on the feet can be both unsightly and, at times, painful. It often develops as we age and can be attributed to factors such as weight gain and uneven weight distribution. Additionally, hard skin can result from wearing certain types of footwear or standing for extended periods, particularly on hard surfaces.
How to prevent hard skin on the feet
How to prevent hard skin:
- Wear a comfort insole in your shoes to soften the force of impact as you walk or stand. If your hard skin is down to your gait and distribution of your weight, wear corrective insoles inside your shoes.
- You will need to remove the hard skin with a foot file, and then follow with a good foot emollient to soften the skin and prevent the hard skin from recurring so quickly.
